Final Foam Dragon

Okay, so I realize that I said he’d look different the next time you saw him, but I wanted to show the absolutely final foam dragon. It’s now time to dye some fabric and start finishing him up.

I like him!
Dangit Philip!
The detail is phenomenal.
His eyes are full of character and the muscle tone, the texture — wow.
What will the application be for this puppet?
I can’t wait to see the finished product.
Hey, I love your work. My son and I are looking at building our first puppet for fun. I have looked at a few puppet ideas on different ways I can go about making it and I think carving would fit best to my skills (an artist and scupturer). Can I ask what foam did you use to carve this puppet?
Thanks, John.
I used a simple polyfoam (not the rubbery kind) that can be found in upholstery shops. It lasts a long, long time when covered.
