Halloween Costume
Posted on October 19th, 2009 by Philip
This year, I thought I would apply my sewing “skillz” to making my own Halloween costume. This was a first for me, but considering my choice of costume, I thought it would be fairly easy. In light of the recent release of the film Where The Wild Things Are, I thought I’d try my hand at making Max’s wolf costume. I actually finished it in a few hours and I think I might “dirty” it up a bit to look more like the one in the movie. Below are a few photos:

As you can see, it brings out my inner Max.

AWESOME!
I will give you a bajillion dollars if you make me one.
Will gladly pay you £50-100 to make me one
I will pay too!!! make more
it’s so good.
can you provide write some more details? If you’re not gonna sell me one atleast help me make one myself…
You REALLY should put up a tutorial for how to make this. It’s amazing.
I also love your puppets.
Er, I don’t think you should of made this as it’s toooo perfect – both my kids want one and so do I and so will anybody else who stumbles on your site – excellent work…ahhoooooooooo!
i would like one too this is amazing >.< would happily buy one from you.
would you make one of these for someone? and how much would you sell it for?(: i have been looking for an affordable one since the movie came out
Can I please ask what fabric you used?? I’m planning on making one myself this year and I just stumbled across your page.
Kelsey–I used a faux sheep fleece. It’s available in most fabric stores, like Jo-Ann Fabrics.
I’ve been wanting to make myself a Max wolf suit for a while now. For the design did you find a pre-made pattern or just design your own from a standard adult romper/onesie pattern? Thankyou
Ella–I tweaked an adult onesie costume pattern.
